Easy Greens

Eating enough fruits and vegetables can be a challenge.

Although everyone knows that you need to eat your vegetables, especially the dark green leafy ones, most people don't because they just aren't very tasty!

Green leafy vegetables are very nutrient-dense and incredibly healthy. They are a vital source of antioxidants that are very beneficial for losing weight.

Green veggies are the best type of food to improve your health and boost weight loss. This is because leafy vegetables are full of fiber along with vitamins, minerals, and plant-based substances that help protect you from heart disease, diabetes, and even cancer.

So, this brings me to the title of this blog post. How can we make it easy consume these much needed veggies? Smoothies. Get yourself a decent blender and try to start having a smoothie every single day. There is no need to go crazy with them, just experiment a little and find out what works for you.

A few tips:

Ensure you have enough fruit, juice or coconut water in the mixture to mask the taste of the greens. If you don't, your beverage may not be very appealing to drink.

My favourite smoothie is this simple one;

Take a good few good handfuls of greens in the form of spinach, watercress, kale or any other that you like. Add in a good handful of frozen mixed berries (frozen bags of fruit are very handy for smoothies) and finally top up with coconut water. Try this and you will not be disappointed. You can also add yogurt, seeds, fresh herbs and spices if you wish - the list goes on.

Try this out for at least a week and see how much better you feel!
